First Night
My first game night, I put a joker where a joker could never go. Someone gently said "oh honey, that hand is dead" and I smiled, having no idea what she meant.
What I needed wasn't talent. It was someone to explain the game the way a friend would. That's what we built here, so no one ever has to tell you your hand is dead again.

Is this right for a complete beginner?
Yes, it's built for you. The bundle starts from the very first tile: what the pieces are, how a game works, and your first winning hands. No experience, no jargon, no assumptions.
I've been playing for a while. Will I learn anything new?
The Strategy Library goes well past the basics: table reading, discard strategy, opponent profiling and tournament tactics. Experienced players tell us the intermediate and advanced guides are where the bundle surprised them most.
Are your cheat sheets official NMJL cards?
No. Our cheat sheets are companion guides that decode and explain the official card; they don't replace it. The Mahjong Night is not affiliated with the National Mah Jongg League.
Do I need to buy the official NMJL card separately?
Yes. To play American Mah Jongg, each player needs their own official annual card, sold by the National Mah Jongg League. Our cheat sheet sits next to your card and makes it make sense.
How do I access everything after purchase?
Right after checkout you'll receive an email with your download access. Everything works on computer, tablet and phone, and the printables are ready for any home printer.
Can I print the guides and cheat sheets?
